Carolina Canines
for Service together with Carolina Animal Relief Effort (C.A.R.E.) and numerous
businesses in and around Wilmington collaborated to bring 21 cats and 32
dogs from the Katrina heurricane region to Wilmington, NC. Animals began
arriving early October and will be initially cared for in a facility and
then placed into foster care while the owners of the animals are searched
for.
If owners are
ready to be reunited with their animals, transportation will be arranged
to return the animals to their owners. The goal is to identify and reunite
as many owners and animals as possible. |
