Why You Should Partner.
The foster family is cornerstone to our organizations ability to place a fully trained service dog with a person with a disability. The foster family agrees to raise and train a service dog in training for up to 24 months in their home. The foster family is responsible all of the costs associated with raising and training the dog including veterinary care, food, monthly flea/tick preventative, leashes, kennel, bowls, toys, etc. Costs for raising and training a service dog average $100 per month.

While these expenses are a tax deductible contribution, sometimes a foster family is not financially able.

This is when the Foster Puppy Partner can help.

The Foster Puppy Partner provides the opportunity for a financially able person, business or organization to share in the raising and training of a service dog through monetary support.

Partnering for a Better Tomorrow.

Partnering is a commitment to a service dog in training for up to 24 months, resulting in a dog of immeasurable worth to someone in need.

As part of the partnering experience, the Foster Puppy Partner is invited to share in the fun of the puppy and training experience by joining us at classes to see how the puppy being sponsored is progressing.

A Foster Puppy Partner can select from several support options, benefiting with the tax deductible contribution, including a monthly ($100), quarterly ($300), semi-annual ($600) or annual ($1,200) donation to Carolina Canines for Service. Carolina Canines for Service will then work with a foster family to ensure expenses are met.
